He’s also a published author, a frequent conference speaker, and advisor.
Heather Konold is the COO of Root Evidence and a veteran operations leader with over 20 years of experience scaling cybersecurity companies. She has led finance, HR, and strategic planning functions across multiple venture-backed startups, guiding them through high-growth phases, acquisitions, and executive transitions. Heather was instrumental in the success of both WhiteHat Security and Bit Discovery, where her steady hand shaped everything from team structure to board operations. With deep instincts for organizational health and a track record of delivering results, she specializes in turning technical vision into operational momentum. She has managed tens of millions in revenue, led M&A processes, and is known internally as the person who keeps everything (and everyone) moving forward.
Lex Arquette is the CPO at Root Evidence and a veteran technologist with 25+ years building high-impact software at scale. As an early engineer on Facebook’s Growth team, he designed and built core parts of the onboarding flow that helped the platform reach over a billion users, and co-invented Facebook Live. Lex previously co-founded WhiteHat Security and Bit Discovery, both acquired, and has built web technologies used by over a third of the planet. Known for blending human-centered design with deep technical expertise, Lex brings a product vision shaped by experience at every stage, from founding startups to building for billions. When he’s not building product, Lex advises early-stage founders, works on UX-focused security tools, and lives on Maui with his family.
